Employers' representative organisation in this important Spanish independent region. The CEA is a longstanding partner of our organisation. After a first joint technical assistance project in Morocco, we are now collaborating on a programme to set up apprenticeship schemes in Tunisia (MEDA / U.E.).

Professional training centre for employees and jobseekers. PME Liège is working on how to export its know-how in the professional training field. We are currently working in partnership in Tunisia on the versatile training centre module as part of the MEDA/U.E. programme.

With technical assistance from the French international co-operation agencies, CODIFOR is contributing to the set-up of a management training centre at Lublin, known as the CKMP. This organisation, which was set up to train company staff during the industrial restructuring period of the 1990s, was also the initiator of one of Poland's first private universities, the WSPA, which now has around four thousand students enrolled.

Working in the European Union's PHARE programme, CODIFOR provided the necessary technical assistance for the training of several hundred Romanian managers in the Cluj Napoca region between 1992 and 1996. Management training initiatives undertaken jointly with employee trade unions in three European countries, led to the foundation of the Social and Economic Institute of Cluj.

Subsequently, as part of the bilateral co-operation venture, CODIFOR undertook a feasibility study to set up a professional training centre in the town of Pitesti in partnership with the main Romanian employers' organisations, working through PROMIND
